One of my first Simon Clark books and will not be my last. Just a great horror story. A town barricades itself against the outside world when a plague turns people into killer maniacs. In fear, the townsfolk begin to turn on each other when they give one person a job which entails killing anyone they think has come into contact with the virus, or who they think is about to "turn".

It took me a few dozen pages to decide if the book would keep my interest. I'm glad I stuck with it as it turned out to be a good tale. It keeps you turning pages the farther you get into it.

I enjoy good horror books and this one held my interest. I like fully developed characters and spooky plotlines. Simon Clark is a great writer(while not up there with Stephen King, my all-time favorite, I would certainly buy Clark's books).

At first I almost put this one down but then I read the reviews and decided to give it a try---glad I did--it is very good, sometimes descriptions are a kind of long and could've been left out but it keeps you interested after you past the first few pages, those were the pages that just didn't interest me but it doesn't take long to get involved with these people and what they are trying to stay away from so they can continue to live.
