Merrie Langston owns a party business. To expand her business, Merrie wants to get a loan. She asked for help obtaining the loan from her accountant Tom Farrell. Tom keeps telling Merrie that she needs to stop spending so much and organize her expenses. But Merrie is too busy to take his advice. As they are meeting about her finances, Merrie learns that the man who was scheduled to play Santa Claus at tonight's party has cancelled on her. Using her wiles, Merrie persuades Tom to fill in for the night.
This was a cute Christmas novella. Merrie loves Christmas. She dresses as an Elf for her parties and makes sure everyone is having a wonderful time. Tom is the opposite. He hasn't celebrated Christmas in years and wants to keep it that way. Tom figures it won't hurt to help her out for the night. It turns out, he really likes talking to the children; and he really likes working with Merrie. My rating: 4 Stars.
