Jill Shalvis comes up with good story lines then fails to deliver. Once again, I really wanted to like her book, but could not. This one is worse than the first one in this series, "Smart & Sexy". The leads are not that well drawn and actually not very likable. And some things just don't add up. I am holding out hope that the last in this series is REALLY GOOD, as the two leads in that one are the two I've liked the best so far.

I really liked the dynamic between Shayne and Dani. She kept me laughing with her antics. The love scenes were steamy and sexy. The suspense kept me interested all the way to the end to see who was gunning for Dani. The other two books in the series didn't keep me interested at all.

Liked the hero/heroine, but thought the mystery aspect of this book was down right ridicilous. Not nearly as good as the first book.

Good read - action plot, fun dialog, quirky characters and strong leads with believable vulnerabilities... You occasionally want to throttle various members of his and her families - they consider her 'crazy' because she's doing what she loves [even if it does involve shoveling elephant poop and giving enemas to camels] and think he's nothing but a 'taxi driver' [even though he has helped found and maintain a million dollar business].

The characters from Smart and Sexy are all back in this book - but you could read them out of order if you must. You'll miss a few nuances and Brody and Maddie's non-romance starts in book 1. I've read all three so yeah, they're the h/h of book 3. I enjoyed the whole series.
