Excellent addition to the Elemental Masters series. Use of historical characters [i.e., Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson] adds to verisimilitude.
Opera singer who is troubled by spirits hires a medium to keep them away from her sleep. She is using her voice to keep her listeners entranced. Holmes was consulted by her parents about disappearance of her sister who had journeyed with them from Germany. Holmes allows Watson to consult others with powers, but doesn't believe in magic, explaining it with his convoluted logic.
Warning: This book is so engaging that you might be tempted to keep reading past normal bedtime!
