This story left you hanging at the end. I must admit there was more Breed story progression re Jonas and Rachels' daughter, Amber, and finding the 'test subjects', than there was about whether the hero's "thing" was working properly and mating heat like in Navarro's Promise. I didn't feel any true emotion between Stygian and Honor. It was just "you are my mate, let's do it, did it, now I love you. And typical Lora Leigh sex scenes.

So, I love the cover! But the stroy was SO wordy. Too many pages of the Same Exact crap written over n over. I liked the different premis, but I couldnt get over how many times we were reminded over n over of what was happeing in Liza's head. ugh. I really did like Liza & Stygian, both stubborn n full of spunk! Really over the 'save amber' storyline as well. Its been going on for books, n im officially over it. bring in some NEW drama please! Still need to read it bc there was some great info revealed, but still way too long.

I'm starting to believe Leigh has lost her touch. The last few books of the series were duds. This one was slightly better but the Stygian and Liza had no connection. The sex scenes were in odd places and didn't add to their relationship emotionally. I actually skipped some of the sex scenes because they were boring. It was unnecessarily wordy and how many times did I have to read about Liza'a nipple, clit, vaginal swellings? It was pretty much in every other paragraph if not more.
Things I did like was Stygian and Liza as individuals. I loved how much she fought for what she believed, just wished I didn't have to the same thoughts from her over and over again. Although the ending is open things moved along nicely.
The end was sligthly weak. Liza fought Jonas through a lot of the book but in the end she was very accepting of Jonas's demands which didn't fit with her character. I don't think she was the type not to confront her father and Uncle.
So the book was okay. Definitely not worth real money or credit. Try to find it at the local library if you can.

I was unable to finish this book. Waste of money and time.
For me this was better then Law's Justice. I did not feel board through this book only in a few spots. The last 2 chapters are the best of the book, it finally gets to the point that this whole book was about. Lora Leigh doesn't disappoint in the erotica its gets hot and heavy between Stygian and Liza. The bad ass Jonas shows up to make is plans secedes in finding a cure for his daughter Amber. An the cure that he is seeking comes form 3 children or now adults that Brandenmore used for his experiments. Judd, Gideon, Fawn and Honer. Well later they find both girls but has to figure out where they can find Judd. Gideon is looking for them still and is determine to find and kill them, but little does he know, and Jonas as the calculated man he is figures out that Gideon has a weakness that he don't know yet This takes place in Window Rock where the last to books take place. This picks up right at the end of Laws Justice where the fight scene is at with Diane. For you Cassie fans she pops up in the later part is this story and has a chapter from her point of view and what she sees in the spirit world.I have read most of the newer books in this breed series and so far I liked most of them and this is up there on my list. I cant wait to read the earlier books that started up this series and see what all there has already happened.
It's a good solid 4. Part of a continuing story arc, I can't recommend reading it out of order. Since the Breeds series is now 2 dozen plus - go here to check out the reading order:

I have actually started skipping the sex scenes and just reading the stories. In the rule breaker book and Bengal's quest it made reading the book a lot faster and made more sense of the storylines, especially the one with Jonas' daughter, Amber.
