Highly enjoyable. Love the series.
In this second installment, we meet Bastien, Georgina's long lost friend and male equivelent: an incubus. Georgina is trying to help Bastien conquer his newest prey while trying to figure out whats got Doug so hyped up. The ending had a twist i didnt see comming. Would definitely reccomend. Best to just go ahead and buy the series at the book store rather than wait 2 or 3 years on the wish list. ;)

2nd in the series featuring immortal succubus, Georgina Kincaid. I love this series, and this second book is pretty hot. Georgina has a pleasant life masquerading as human in Seattle. In this one, there are two main mystery plots. Her old friend and coworker, Bastian, an incubus she hasn't seen in a couple hundred years, comes to Seattle with a problem. And something is going on with Georgina's friend, Doug, who is also an assistant manager at the bookstore, and the lead singer in a band. Georgina and Seth, her human writer/bf, start to get seriously involved and the problems in a inter-mortal relationship are such a pain in the rear. I had looked forward to this one since devouring the first, Succubus Blues, and it didn't disappoint. Very enjoyable read!

Georgina and Seth have a platonic relationship since Georgina feels she will suck Seth dry if they actually have sex...that is her job/life after all. The intense relationship between them is fraught with problems. They love each other but her being a succubus is holding them back - between her need to have other men for sustanence and her fear. I applaud her actions though it seems kinda bizarre for a succubus but I guess even demons fall in love. I do hope in future books that they figure out how to have a real relationship. I'd like to see them get together...so to speak.
I really like her circle of friends - the vamps, the imp and the angel. They provide support yet keep her grounded. The addition of Bastien was terrific even if he caused major problems with Seth. Their past added great insight into Georgina's character.

This is the second book in the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. I enjoyed this book quite a bit more than the first book. I thought Georgina really came into her own as a character, some interesting side characters were also added. There was more urgency to this book too.
In this book Georgina knows something is up when her co-worker and friend Doug starts acting strangely. Georgina is determined to get to the bottom of Doug's issues. She is interrupted by a pleasant surprise when Bastien, an incubus whom she has had a close friendship with for centuries, shows up. Bastien is assigned with taking down a prominent conservative radio host; and is enlisting Georgina's help. Meanwhile Georgina and Seth are still trying to make their "hands off" relationship work.
This book was much better than the first one. With Bastien present you get more look into Georgina's history. The issues with Doug end up being really interesting and Georgina gets sucked into an investigation that propels the story forward. I thought Georgina gained a lot more personality in this book and that her character really became something special; she is smart and has a way of helping people out that is really admirable despite her demonic nature.
The plot-line of this book was tighter and more compelling than the last book. I felt like in general the writing was better. The characters of Carter and Bastien added a lot to the story. In summary I liked this book; my greatest complaint is still that I wish there were more action scenes. I guess these books are just much more paranormal romance than they are paranormal action.
