Another favorite among favorites from Donna Leon. As usual, a complex intertwined and twisted plot with the question of "justice" left hanging at the end.
Little more sly dry humor in this one than usual though, such as: "[rain]...which cleaned the streets, first of tourists, then of any dirt that remained." (p307)
Loved it!!

Terrific plot and character dvelopment. A strong Brunetti offering.
Leon continues to incorporate the darker aspects of contemporary Italian society into her engaging detective stories.
