I did not want to like this book. I bought it at a buck-a-bag booksale and left it sitting on my shelf for months. I picked it up out of boredom, and then (sigh),I couldn't put it down. I thought about it while I was at work, I read a page or two at stoplights, and I found myself turning off the American Idol finale just so I could finish the book. This story is different from what I have been reading lately--sweet and memorable. It reminded me of the best of Dorothy Garlock, with that little underlying edge that only Kleypas could write. I found myself caring about Liberty, Hardy, Gage, Churchill, and Carrington more than I have cared about other characters since I read my first Kathleen Woodiwiss book. 4 Stars!!
Two men, one woman. A choice that can make or break her. A love story that you will never forget.
I didn't think I would like this book, but I ended up LOVING it! It has a lot of emotion and is engaging. I didn't want to stop reading it. If you're on the fence about whether or not you want to read it, give it a try! You might be pleasantly surprised.
She's from the wrong side of the tracks. He's the one man she can't have. Will they find their hearts' desires or will heartbreak tear them apart?
If you like Lavyrle Spencer's contemporary romances, you'll like this book.
