Sean D. reviewed Summer on Blossom Street (Blossom Street, Bk 6) (Audio CD) (Abridged) on + 10 more book reviews
I don't normally read (or listen to) books like this, but I was desperate for a book on CD for my car so I borrowed this from my mom. Though my expectations were quite low for a chick lit novel, "Summer on Blossom Street" didn't even meet those.
Why Ms. Macomber is a wildly successful author is, to me, a mystery. Cartoonish characters drawn with the broadest of strokes, computer-generated plot lines. The instant a character is introduced into the story, you know exactly what's going to happen to them, it's that contrived. Yuck.

Just like Debbie Macomber's others books, this too was great! I really enjoy listening to her books on my way to work each day. Helps the commute so much better!
