Well, I couldn't figure out how to do the fancy posting most of you can do, but I did list the book and the proposed schedule on the CMT.   Wish  me luck in attracting some more book club folk.

Yes, the first book is Sticks and Scones   I figure we'll discuss it starting Aug l.   That gives time for people to decide to join, order it and read it.   I have the book now but am reading  Stone Gap or whatever we are reading.  I am enjoying it!

Chris, you are right, but I think Barb was asking if Sticks and Scones was the first one the cozy group was going to read.

Yes, I was wondering if that was the book we were reading. Sorry for the confusion, I didn't realize it was a series or I would have worded it better.

I chose Sticks and Scones based on the title.   I love scones.     I think someone said these books stand alone and don't need to be read in order.    I have the book but am still reading Big Gap.

Hi Everyone,

I just stumbled on this post and was wondering where I can join / Sign up / attend  the book club? Is the Sticks and Scones the current book for June / July?

Thanks,

Terri

Terri,     welcome!    Tell your friends too.   We have been reading things here for maybe 8 months.   We are sort of branching out, and doing more than one book at a time, and people can just hop on when they see something they like.    I'm not big into horror or depressing books  so I skip those months.   One  month we were reading a book with 900 pages and I never got past 200.     Anyway we are thinking we could have more than one book at a time and people could just choose what they want.   I'm not sure how to lead the discussion but I'm thinking it will work out.

We are still hoping the PTB will give us a Book Club forum of our very own.  It sure would make it easier to find us!!

I believe they told Chris they would do it the next time they had the forum worked on, I don't think they do anything here themselves. When it was down the other day and it said they were adding things to it I hoped they would have made the forum but alas no.

Deb, here are some generic questions for mysteries, might give you a starting point for discussing Sticks and Scones.

Hey everyone, just a reminder to start reading Sticks and Scones.   I'm almost done and I haven't figured out who did what, and there is plenty of 'what' going on.cheeky

Is this one scheduled to start discussion at the beginning of the month or the middle? I know we were going to stagger some but I don't remember which ones.
