Do you not just love a town you can visit and re-visit? Fool's Gold is definitely that town. Susan Mallery makes the town and characters come alive and makes you wish you could move in and become a part of the community.

It was okay.
For the most part I liked Heidi and Rafe. I'm not so sure about the incredibly stupid thing Heidi does towards the end. It seemed really out of character for someone who was always so responsible. It seemed like Rafe's mistakes were more believeable and fitting to who he was.
I actually found May, Rafe's mother, really annoying. Who spends that kind of money on something that's not hers? Who is really that forgiving? And how responsible are you to buy all these animals to live in a land you don't own plus you are planning on taking off?
It was all right to past the time, but not her best story telling.

I love Susan Mallery & Fool's Gold!! Rafe & Heidi has a great chemistry together even though they are both stubborn. I feel so bad for Heidi, who finally has a home of her own. Rafe swore he would never go back to Fool's Gold, but he did it for his mother. I love May. She was something else! If you are looking for a good romance book, then this is it! You won't be disappointed!
