I picked up this book because of the interesting title and I wanted something light to read poolside. I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn't just fluff, but rather an interesting and well written coming-of-age story. I could relate to the narrator and the rather realistic characters. Growing up isn't easy for anyone, even when you seemingly have it all.

This is a great coming of age story set in the 1970s. A story of broken friendships and first loves. Very entertaining and a very quick read.

Coming-of-age story set in the early 70's. Definitely lit-lite.

This was a lovely coming-of-age story that takes place during the summer in the life of a 14 year-old girl. I was truly reminded of my teen years and all of the emotions I had felt back then as Jamie struggles with relationships with friends, boys and family members. It is a little gem of a novel.
