This book is wonderful! My new favorite. As soon as we finished reading the library's copy, I knew we had to own it, so I was pleased to find it on paperbackswap! We also read the sequel, which I didn't expect to be as good, but the author didn't disappoint.

A story of old-fashioned family fun when the Penderwick girls go on vacation and get into mischief. This book would make a good read-aloud.

My daughter is nine, almost ten, and loved this book. The writing was at her level, the story was appropriate and "spoke" to her, particularly the oldest daughter's unrequited interest in an older boy. This is a charming book, well written with an engaging story.

The Penderwicks is a delightful story. It transplants you into their world and it is a joy to read.

Another sweet, wholesome book for girls. My 4 daughters and I absolutely loved reading this one. It was very good to read a book where siblings are portrayed in a positive way.

Excellent book in the vain of Five Children and It and The Bastables. It was refreshing to find a book that your children can read and not be worried about the content. I would highly recommend giving it a try. I believe you will not be disappointed.
