I have read every book by Ms. Hilderbrand and I can say with complete honesty that this was one of the best. I wasn't as thrilled with her last two books, but LOVED this one.
I would highly recommend it to all those that enjoy summer fiction.

I have read and enjoyed all of her previous books. This one was a disappointment. Everything tied up with a pretty bow in the end and not in a believable way. Also, I could have done without the thinly veiled political statements.

I have read every other book by Elin and could not wait for this one - even bought it new.

But, alas, I was disappointed. Not up to all the others. Hated the ending.

Characters all seem to be shallow and boring.

Sorry, but I wish I had my money back.

Good book and easy read. The author really gets you into the book, and it feels like you are there. Details were so vivid that you could not put the book down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I do all of Elin Hildebrand's books. This story was sad, dark, yet, at the end was full of hope. A must read!

I've read all of Elin Hilderbrand's novels. I love them all, but this was by far the most captivating for me. Wonderful character development. You will be pulled in and you will feel for these characters as if they were your friends and neighbors.

After reading some of the other reviews, I want to add to my own review. It's almost as if I was not reading the same book as some of the other reviewers. To say that "everything tied up with a pretty bow in the end and not in a believable way" seems to over-simplify the ending. The characters have come to grips with the tragic events that occurred in the novel, and are working through them and trying to deal with them. In no way did everything end up perfectly. In fact, the ending was so emotional it brought me to tears.

I also don't understand the comment about "thinly veiled political statements." I missed that entirely.

If you're a Hilderbrand fan, I think you'll likely love this novel. Go ahead and read it. You won't be disappointed.
