This is a neat story about a group of children who get to live on their grandfather's island during the summer. It's a bit unbelievable and dated, but an enjoyable read anyway.

Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny now have a home with their grandfather and are spending the summer on their own private island.
There's a mysterious stranger on the island who must keep his identity secret. And that's not the only surprise in store for the Boxcar Children on Surpise Island!

This review is by my eight year old grandson who read this book:

My favorite part was when the family made a museum of things that they at the shore.
So far this is my favorite Boxcar Children book.
This is a very good book and I think a lot of children should read it.
