Burley can write a good story but this one is just too much for me---
The low rating is for the format he used which is just jumping around in a timeline---present day back to the 90's, back to present day then back to the 90's, that format didn't help the storyline any and only made it like trudging through mud to get to the main point---I never got to that point because I had to give up--this is a format that just irritates me and unless it is very well written it won't hold my interest
After reading a review on Amazon it was stated that the last half of the book is the best but it is also very violent and gruesome, usually that wouldn't bother me but I couldn't get to that point because of the slow first half and the format of the confusing back and forth of the timeline
