If you love the series of books about the shops on Blossom Street, then you will also love this one. The lead character is a wife, mom of almost grown kids, and daughter to a mom who is showing her age. She starts thinking of the what ifs in her life when she has to go home to move mom to an assisted living home. There is a bit of mystery and some romance, but mostly it is about finding yourself again once the kids are not taking all your time, and finding that guy you used to love that you are still married to. I loved it.

Thsi book was a very easy read that had you guessing throughout, but not really in a mystery-book sort of way. Macomber's writing is very easy to follow, not too embellished, and perfect for when you want a light read. This book is no exception. It is intended to be before Back to Blossom which I am reading next, and ties into Blossom Street/Good Yarn.

Debbie never fails to make her characters come alive. The spin at the end of this book is worth staying up all night reading.

As with The Shop on Blossom Street, the characters come to life in this story as well. I could relate to each of the women in this book, even though they had a few years on me. There is a mystery, some romance, and a snotty kid who knows everything. This book certainly kept my interest, as I read it in a day.

This book was a mixture of a mild suspense with some romance. I enjoyed it very much. No explicit sexual parts, just a good, clean easy reading story. I had a hard time putting this book down. I would recommend it for sure!

Great easy read with a bit of mystery thrown in. I did have to suspend believe a little bit to believe the end but I still really enjoyed the story.

I sympathized with Susannah's curiosity about a past boyfriend (Jake), especially because things were left unresolved. She did make several really dumb decisions and I thought she was way too lenient as a parent. She should hold her daughter (Chrissie) accountable for her promise to help her. I loved that Susannah employed different tactics to deal with Chrissie's bad boy friend (Troy).

Chrissie was really annoying but she was supposed to be. Susannah was right on that Chrissie acted more like a teenager than someone in their 20's. Kind of disappointed that Macomber wrote about Troy being taken care of but we never see it.

Loved Caroyln. She was such a cool side character, definitely the perfect sidekick for Susan.

Very nice book.

With girlhood memories resurfacing along with long lost friends, Susannah discovered secrets that revealed not only an unselfish act of love, caring, and protection, but a surprising revelation of a mysterious presence once thought to be a figment of her mothers failing mind.

another great story by Debbie Macomber. Going home, dealing with an aging mother, a teenage love, and her own daughter is more than susannah bargined for. makes you think would you want to go back and know why everything happened and the road not taken in your life?
