OMG! This is a horrible book! I admit I only got to about the 150 page mark which is more than I would usually allow for such an awful book, storyline and writing main reason, so this is what I got from it:
SPOLIER ALERT!
Witt joins an Academy to teach Eng Lit but instead is put to teaching creative writing (that's the beginning) and she has a horrible secret (of course) well all I got from that was the fact she walked in on her father getting a blowjob from his wife assistant--sorry spoiler!
The main theme is the Darkroom that the boys belong to online--spoiler--they judge/grade girls on the blowjob they give (and here's a book about that-wow-stupid), then you have the girls that are going to get revenge (I gave up about that point--I didn't care)
It has too many POV that just got boring and more boring, I'm sorry I gave this book my time for the 150 pages I did read
So by giving you an honest opinion about students at an Academy/high school (is there such a thing in the USA?) and you want to read about blowjobs then I say more power to you but there are much better books with much better plots than this one!

The character telling the story changes with each chapter, making it very difficult to track the plot. I'm all for feminism: Equal rights in education, employment, housing. This goes beyond that to painting all men as pigs. Unfortunately for this book, the heroine keeps making bad decisions. The ultimate insult to the readers is the ending, which is the literary equivalent of the world exploding. Everybody loses. No satisfactory resolution to the conflict. I have been reading for over fifty years, and this is the worst book I have ever read. This is especially disheartening given how good the Spellman books were. The only explanation I can come up with is that the author suffering some trauma that has left her broken and bitter. I pray that she gets counselling to restore her to good mental health.
What an utter load of crap. ***SPOILER ALERT****I enjoyed Lutz's "Spellman files" series & The Passenger. This book was ridiculously written from so many student & teacher's points of view each chapter it was confusing to follow. The premise is a private boarding school where the boys have a secret website where they score the girls on their blowjobs & give an award at the end of the year. A few students & teacher try to put an an end to is with disastrous results. In the age of the sniveling women who whine about sexual harassment & abuse this is not the book for them because some of the girls in the "contest" want to win the award where the others are disgusted & want revenge. I wasn't sure if this was a YA book or adult. Choppy writing, wishy-washy decisions, & incomplete stories I barely made it through reading before I started skimming.
Very good; excellent, interesting plot and well-fleshed-out characters. (Probably not for fans/supporters of Bret Kavanaugh, though ;-)
