The latest in the Goldy Bear series. This is another really good book in the series. All the characters are back and of course Goldy is at the wrong place at the wrong time when it comes to discovering the body. I know she has gotten herself into some tough spots in the past, but I really can't remember another book in which she has quite this much trouble! Suspensful all the way, and I did not know "who did it". Great addition to the series!

This is the latest in the Goldy Schulz books, the caterer who manages to find dead bodies. This book was a little dull and a bit confusing about the characters. There are some wonderful recipes included, as usual, and the murderer in this book surprised me - a person who let greed get the better of him/her.

The book was a good read. I enjoy her books, but like all of them, there seems to be a lot of characters. I have read all of Ms. Davidson's books and this follows the story line of most of them. In a way, I have watched the son grow up in this series and I know when she writes another I will be one of the first to read it.

This is a great series. It's fun to read about Goldy's latest adventure and the recipes are wonderful.Try them out.
In this book someone is trying to sabotage her business. While trying to find out who it could be she finds a body and she is framed for the murder. Could it be her ex-husband? Read it and find out.

Good book. A continuation of Goldy's other adventures.
if you love Goldy and her catering and sleuthing you are sure to love this one as it is filled w/ mishaps, mistakes and sleuthing fun.
A quick read .. first book of hers I have read .. guess I'll go back and read the first 13 of them!
Sweet Revenge kept me reading each page with just enough suspense and light humor! In this one Goldy Shultz is suddenly embroiled in a murder scene and several times thinks she has seen the return of her ex-husband's murderer, Sandee Brisbane. However, Sandee supposedly died much earlier! Then Goldy meets some high-end map dealers, some of whom
seem to be suspects in the crime!! Great Reading!!!

I liked it just as I have liked all of Diane Mott Davidson's books. I can relate to some of the family and other problems Goldie has. Of course I have never been involved in a murder but I do like to solve problems. Just a very good read.
A light, fast-moving mystery, with good recipes to boot.
From back cover: Goldy Schulz is thrilled to be catering a holiday breakfast feast for the staff of the Aspen Meadow Library. But little does she know that on the menu is a large helping of murder. While setting up at the library, Goldy spots a woman lurking in the stacks who bears a striking resemblance to Sandee Brisbane - the Sandee Brisbane who killed Goldy's ex-husband, the Jerk. But Sandee is supposed to be dead . . . or so everyone believes.
Goldy's suspicions mount when the body of Drew Wellington, a former district attorney, is found in a corner of the library, with a map worth thousands of dollars stashed in his clothing. Goldy is convinced that Sandee, a confessed felon, is involved. But the holiday madness is only just beginning for Goldy. Soon she's drawn into the dangerous, double-crossing world of high-end map dealing. And like the ghost of Christmas past, Sandee keeps making an appearance. Could she be out to prove that revenge is oh-so-sweet?

This book is well written and I would recommend it. The ending is a real page-turner and is quite clever. We discover, along with Goldy, just 'who done it'.
I have read a number of Diane Davidson books, and I liked this one just as much as I liked the others. The storyline kept me interested and the action continued throughout the book. (I have read other mystery series where the characters and the plots just ran out of steam and I couldn't finish the book without a struggle. But that is not the case here). Pretty good for being the 14th book in the series.
Goldy does it again! Another fast and fun-reading book about adventures with Goldy and her family. If you want a fun, clean and upbeat reading, this book has it all!
Diane Mott Davidson does it again with this cozy mystery
After reading 6 of this series, I found this one to be slower to get to the solution and had too many characters to keep track of. I found it hard to keep up with who was who and read it in a couple of days. Goldy does a lot of sleuthing and getting herself into illegal situations and breaks the law stealing cars, and getting into a lot of situations. I think this one was my least favorite but has 10 new recipes at the back and two I may try to bake. I still need to find Julian's famous fudge recipe with the dark cherries or dried cherries from previous book probably Dark Torte.
I USED to love this series. But this book just didn't do it for me. To me Goldy Schultz came off as an incompetent, fumbling, nosy whiny brat. She steals cars, wrecks cars and tears up mink coats, sneaks around crime scenes and one day gets beaten up, falls down a ravine into a stream and crashes her friend's Lexus and has someone chop her hair off. Three different incidents. Less than 2 days. And her husband is a sheriff? I'd arrest her in a heartbeat for meddling, tampering with evidence at various crime scenes and plain old annoyingness. Her motivations for doing this were so weak, "I was MAD!" There were too many ex wives, molested kids, map collectors (I mean who really gives a rat's behind about map stealing?), and I had trouble keeping them straight. Probably I just didn't care to. I'll probably never read another in this series.
PS: It was so bad that it turns out I'd read this book 2 years ago and coudn't remember much about it. As I read I kept having deja vu. So I tortured myself twice. Maybe I should be arrested for stupidity.

I love all of the Goldy Schulz books. They are very well written and keep you guessing.
I really have enjoyed this series. You can't wait for the next.
excellent
