Helpful Score: 1
Swimsuit by James Patterson & Maxine Paetro is the first story I have listened to by either author but I must say it was a very intense can't put it down read. I'm not a big fan of the blood and guts thing but this was more about how the murder got away with what he did and the intensity of the criminal mind in itself.
The story focuses on swimsuit models being horribly murdered in Hawaii right under the law enforcements very noses. The killer is a serial killer of the highest quality and he actually makes it more of an art than just something a nut job would do due to a bad childhood or mental illness. An art that is very lucrative for him in the financial market.
The killer is such a master of disguise that even the best of the best of law enforcement can't figure out. This gives him quite the advantage. He also loves to ride that fine line of danger but with the professional quality of cleaning up after himself as if he is the ultimate perfectionist.
The authors have used every trick in the book with this story and it will entertain and keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. An action packed thriller with a passion to entice you into wanting more.
I must say that I am pretty naive about these types of stories as I cannot see how anyone on the face of the earth could be so evil as the killer of this story.

Lots of twist in the this book...Good Read!
Great suspenseful mystery." Christian Rummel"is the dramatic voice of Ex-Cop, Ben Hawkins. He enhances this thriller where lots of victims fall prey to a psychopathic killer. Seriously scarey mystery with some horror. Journalist/author tells his tale of murder and calculated methods so evil that without visible evidence would be impossible for any sane person to believe. The cast of characters enhance the unpredictable conclusion. Recommend this one for Patterson and Koontz fans.
I really enjoyed listening to this book, it was better than I thought it was going to be!
Starts off fast and gets right to it. I like that about Patterson.
This one had me squirming on the edge of my seat throughout. Protagonist Ben Hawkins is a former L.A. cop turned reporter and author. While investigating the murder of a younger supermodel Hawkins gets mixed up with a serial killer and is forced to write the killer's tell-all biography. Flawed- yes. Captivating- hell yes!
The ending is a head-scratcher and I admit it threw me for a loop. But when I consider how Patterson and Paetro could have wrapped things up nice and neat, I like the ending even more.

As with most James Patterson's books the book is exciting from start to finish. The major difference in this novel is the truly graphic descriptions of the violence done by one of the characters. I usually have a strong stomach for most things, but this one actually made me queasy more than once. If you don't like graphic violence, this book is not for you.
Riveting!
