An ambitious but strange attempt to get kinky with a romance novel. I was a little dismayed by hero's falling instantly in love with the first woman he's ever had good sex with and proposing to her within a week.

I liked that the heroine was mixed race (Scottish & Japanese) and the hero was a Ranger (I love military guys). The author gives you a peek into the dom/sub world not as a lifestyle but as a way of being. Whiteside's writing is complicated; you can't skim it and expect to understand what's going on. The prose is lush but spare at the same time. Overall, a good read, but not a keeper.

Very, VERY, hot book! The fact that this author dared to showcase the man in the sub position is erotic. The fact that he comes from years of military service and gives into his fantasy of being 'thorouhly dominated by a woman' is down right delicious!

This book just did not do it for me. I found it very unbelievable that a big tough decorated Army Ranger would be shy and blushing with zero confidence upon meeting a woman in a bookstore...in the erotica section, no less. Because of that I just could never get into these two characters.

The hottest erotica ever! Hot, Hot, Hottest. Great writing of fantasy sex between the couple who meet in a bookstore. Certainly a fantasy that most of us at PBS can relate to. The scenes of interaction between the couple when they actually get together are the best sex on paper and ink I have yet to read. Although I was not as delighted with Whiteside's vampire series, this book put her at the top of my contemporary erotica authors list.

Diane Whiteside is a fine writer, but this book did not hook me. The dom-fem/sub-male was new to me, but it was the elaborate role playing that kept me at a distance. The premise of meeting a hot, willing playmate in a bookstore is pretty irresistible though!

This was an interesting switch on bdsm. I dont run accross too many where the woman is the dominant. If thats your thing, than this one is pretty decent.

This book is fantastic. It did not fail to live up to the expectations. Diane Whiteside weaves an amazing tale of forbidden desires, living for the moment and hot blooded temptations. Characters like Sean and Beth in 'The Switch' are characters I could read more and more about. Great read!

Excellent writing. The characterizations and character development were first-rate. How the "hero" & "heroine" intereacted, both physically and emotionally showed great insight by the author. Yes, I do believe it is possible to fall in love in a week, and very definitely yes, it is possible to have a lasting relationship that starts with sex. The sex scenes were beautifully-written erotica, some of the most delicious I have ever read.
To watch their relationship grow & bloom was very satisfying. Whether you're just curious about D/s or heavily into BDSM, this book has a lot to offer.

Interesting switch on sub/dom relationship with the woman as the dom & the man as the sub.
my fav book. enjoyed it immensely.
A bit out there for me, but you will most likely enjoy it if you like erotica.
I enjoyed the read. I am glad he did not give up as easily as she did.
Oh, wow! This book is not only hot, but has a great story line, and the writing is outstanding. I didn't expect a love story in the middle of it all, but there it was. If you're not faint-hearted about graphic sex and bdsm, I highly recommend this book.
Outstanding book!
wow what a HOT book! my oh my. loved it.
