What a disappointment. I wish I'd spent my time re-reading one of the Liaden novels instead.

I adore the Liaden Universe books by these authors, but could not get into this at all. In addition to not liking or particularly caring about the characters, there wasn't really an ending. The book just stops without anything being resolved. It does say this is book one of Beneath Strange Skies, but it's been more than three years with no book two in sight.
