A notch above the standard fare for this series of sword and sorceress stories. The theme of the volume is more focussed on justice, ethics, and morality than previously. A welcome change from past fare which always seemed to focus on 60s era feminist proclamations of "women are just as good as men!" or rape/revenge stories. If you like MZB and the (mostly) female authors she mentored, you'll like this volume.
