While in a fantasy setting the writing is more similar to that of detective/crime novel. The adventures are fairly episodic and wasn't what I was looking for. Someone who enjoys detective novels and fantasy would probably like this. I am more of a traditional fantasy lover.

Three classic sword and sorcery novels in one volume...
Well, not exactly. Besides sword and sorcery, there's also quite a bit of noir mystery tale and a bit of romance. I believe Simon Green's mind is a bit twisted, and his tales are the same.
