If you love cooking, then you are in for a treat. The story starts out with a menu for a New Year's Eve party and each hour the couple plans a delightful dessert. Half of them I did not know what it entailed that I was curious to look up. It sounded so tempting that I wish I was a part of this event. As a result of this get together, the idea for a Table For Seven Club was created. Two couples with a widower, a bachelor, and a social elderly gentleman get together on monthly basis hosting a meal in their house.

This is not the usual story about a group pf people getting together to eat but rather allows you to look into each one's lives, you to get to know them and the lives they lead and get a glimpse into the problems of marriage, how friendships / boundaries are crossed, and how issues get resolved. Never a dull moment, there are laugh out loud scenarios and dialogue which leaves you curious to find out more about what happens. Unlike any group of people in any story, I loved how this one was engaging and sad and marveled at the changes throughout a year each person has grown. The characters are people you can relate to and where everyone starts having relationship issues, you realize how the friendships deepen through supporting one another.
