I couldn't get 'in' to this book
I didn't like the writing style with all the conversations with the detective written like a courtroom scene
You already know that Brie is missing and after 6 years Andrew has moved on with life, so now someone who looks like Brie has showed up and now the investigation is ongoing again
But the story dragged out too much and didn't hold my interest so here I go---I found just the right spot about 1/4 from the end that explains it all and that was all I needed to know!
Just so you know--I'm a very picky reader and I don't waste my time when a book doesn't grab my interest in the first 100 pages, Barclay is good author but like all authors he can slag sometimes in telling a story

Enjoyed this book tremendously - such a page turner I couldn't put it down. The character development was excellent and wow the unexpected twists will really keep you on your toes!
While Andrew Mason was on a fishing trip, his wife Brie, vanished without a trace. Most everybody assumed Andy had got away with murder. Ir's always the husband, isn't it? Now, six years later, Andy has finally put his life back together. He sold the house he once shared with Brie and moved away. He settled down with a new partner, Jayne, and life is good. One day a woman resembling Brie shows up at his old address screaming " Where's my house? What happened to my house?" The police are notified and old questions resurface. Could Brie really be alive after all these years? Detective Hardy tries to get the goods on Andrew but couldn't find anything to stick. There are lots of twists and turns that had me reading to the surprise ending. It was great to be back with Linwood Barclay and I am looking forward to reading another book by him. If you like mystery along with your psychological thriller then you would love this book.
