While this book is light and entertaining it is still the same story as all of the rest of them just a different villain. I don't give up easily, as I've read all of them up to this one, but I'm done now and am going to take a pass from now on regarding this series.

This is the 20th+ book in this series, that is just funny.
If you want to laugh at the antics of two women, this series is yours to enjoy.
Lighthearted, and I don't think you have to rad them in order.
I hate to pay full price for these Stephanie Plum novels, because I can read the 300 odd pages in less than 2 days... and I know I can just check it out of the library... BUT I cannot wait for it to be printed into paperback, AND I adore re-reading these funny fanciful stories about Stephanie, who takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
What about that giraffe?

I can always count on a Janet Evanovich book to lighten my mood. They're fast, fun and addictive and Takedown Twenty is no different. It's another great installment in the series, and I couldn't put it down.
Maybe it's just my imagination, but Stephanie seems to grow a bit disenchanted with Morelli in this one.

There are not many authors who have the talent to keep a series fresh and entertaining after twenty books, but Janet Evanovich is one of them. Takedown Twenty is, by far, my favorite of the entire series. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the one-liners delivered by Lula and Grandma Mazur kept me in stitches. I really hope this book is a sign that we will see more of Lula and Grandma in future books. I love Stephanie and the hot mess that is her life and I adore Ranger and Morelli, but Lula and Grandma are what keep me coming back for more. Imagining what these two wonderful characters will get Stephanie into next doesnt come close to what Ms. Evanovich pulls out of her hat.
The plot was entertaining and kept me interested all the way through the story. There were several interesting twists and turns that kept guessing the identity of the killer difficult and surprised me when it was revealed who it was. Numerous Ranger moments kept the heat turned up and although I dont see Stephanie ending up with Ranger, I thoroughly enjoy their interactions.
My Final Verdict: Fans of the Stephanie Plum series should enjoy this offering and mark this book as a series favorite. If you are new to the series, you have a lot of catching up to do. This series is best read in order and I promise you will enjoy every bit of it.

Always good for a laugh, this is a quick moving, funny saga of Stephanie Plum. Bring on 21!
oNE OF HER BEST. If this doesn't make you smile, you are beyond help.
Tammy, I thought the same thing about Morelli. I think there will be a new love interest in the next book.
I liked it the first time I read it. Still no resolution on Stephanie's love life. Funny, but not as funny as previous books. And I wanted Granda Mazur to be present more.
Good reading
By far the funniest book I've ever read. Was laughing out loud at the 2nd paragraph. Can't go wrong with a Stephanie Plum novel.
Stephanie always manages to make me laugh just when i need it! She really does have commitment issues. She's got some crazy luck. Ranger has gone through another set of cars do to her klutyiness. Morelli i think just scared her back to the dark ages on the relationship front. She did catch the Dumpster Killer, Grandma helped! HA!
When I need a quick, light, and fun read, I reach for a Stephanie Plum novel. Some are better than others. This one reminded me of some of the earlier--and better--books from the series, with laugh-out-loud moments and Stephanie caught in sticky situations. Like most readers of the series, I do long for some forward motion in Stephanie's relationships, but as long as the books are entertaining, I'm okay with it.
A little quick, seems like we are running out of steam in this series. The same back story lines over and over, Ranger versus Joe. Lets get back to Lula stealing the show
this book as all of the Stephanie Plum books was so funny cannot get enough of her...
Always enjoyable
