Topic: Taking care of an uncle who has dementia......HATE IT

I came to Las Vegas to help my uncle who has dementia. As of this December it will be 2yrs since iv'e left my home in California to do this. This disease really sucks and to be very honest I HATE being a caregiver. Even though I get caregivers (paid for by my uncle) I'm tired all the time!! He's now incontinate. Sounds like you did what you could. You have to take care of yourself first....it's a tough disease to deal with |

You are amazing to take on that roll for so long. you are ONE in 100 thousand who would step up to do the job. so be assured that you have done all you can and now it's time to let others take it from here.
