A fun cozy that contains a mystery inside. Our Literary Ladies are part of an island Batille Day, that includes a performance by Guillotine, a reformed boy band and a Charles Dickens look-a like contest. Our two sisters are twins running a local knitting shop.
Subplots include a local who is accident prone, creating damages around town, a damaged prop for the band that has near fatal consequences and suspicious characters run amok. Of course, we have the inevitable thwarted romance...the local hunk pursues our heroine, who resists more than she should.
The cozy characters have mellowed in this book. The mysteries are less contrived.
I don't know why they bother to have a cat featured on the covers, as he rarely appears, only to pee in the pansies.
All in all, a satisfying read for cozy lovers.

I enjoyed this second book in the series as much as the first. So many cool little tie ins to A Tale of Two Cities. Can't wait to read the third titles and beyond!
