This collection of short stories gives us background on some of our favorite characters. The standout story is BEGINNINGS where we see Elena and Clay's relationship before he bit her. I liked that we had both points-of-view in this story and see Clay's reasoning behind biting Elena.

I also liked the story about Eve Levine teaching sorcerer Kristof Nast basic witch magic. Also enjoyed Lucas Cortez and Paige Winterbourne investigating a murder. My rating: 4 Stars.

I'm surprised to be able to say that I really loved most of these short stories! I thought they might be a little boring, maybe overkill since I've read all the other books, but especially Beginnings, the story about how Clay and Elena met and fell in love just grabbed me. Definitely a good read!

I really enjoyed the story sections. It helped fill in the details from the series still fresh in my mind. It also answered some questions as to some changes from book to book, giving more background and "the rest of the story." There were more characters telling the stories in this one. Ghost stayed with me because it gave more background to how Jeremy thinks as an Alpha.
