I loved this series. I appreciate the humor incorporated into the author's storytelling and the nonconforming princess. Good for young adult and adult reading.

The final book of this series was very good. Cimorene has been living outside of the Enchanted Forest raising her son, Daystar. When the wizard, Antorell, finds her she realizes that it is time to send her son into the Enchanted Forest. She retrieves the magic sword, and give it to him, sending him off with no instructions, informing him only that he must find his own way and discover the purpose for the trek himself.
As he strolls through the forest, he meets a fire witch, Shiara, who has angered the council of wizards who are chasing her. The two travel together, meeting elves, both good and bad; a lizard named Suz who befriends them; the witch, Morwen, who heals Daystar when he is injured; and the magician, Telemain. A furry kitten, named Nightwitch by Shiara, accompanies the two. They have several adventures and Daystar discovers the purpose for his travels through the forest. The dragon king, Kazul, plays a small part in this final book.
