When Amazon reduced the Kindle price of this book to $3.99, I grabbed it. I love Top Chef and really like Gail Simmons, but I was underwhelmed by this book. Lots of filler material here with lots of lists of food products, cooking methods, etc, and while she claims to be a food writer, the book is just not that well written. Parts of the book were funny and enjoyable but it left me wanting. There's just not enough depth here, and it felt like alot of sketches stitched together.
