To Tame A Duke, blends a combination of history and romance. It takes place during the war of 1812. Lord James Armstrong,14th Duke of Kinross is seeking the murder of his older brother. He travels to American to find a spy known as The Gilded Lady, responsible. He excepts to find a man. Instead he finds Lily Hawthorne, daughter of a Boston tavern owner. Although he had planned to seek revenge, by killing said spy, he kidnaps her and her disabled brother to his estate in England, until he can sort out what's to be done. Slowly the two start to fall in love. And that is when love and loyalties are tested. Great secondary characters. Humorous and sensual.
