This is an amazing way to introduce alternative lifestyles to young children I picked this book up at Hastings right when it came out before the "ban" and will use it to open the channels of communication about Homosexuality for my children someday.

An amazing true story about Altertive lifestyles.
Not banned everywhere, but the top challenged books of 2006. What a shame that people see this as a dangerous book. It is amazing teaching tool. Read the reivew below also as it has good info about this book.

Boy penguins notice the girl penguins and girls notice the boys. They pair up and produce an egg. But Roy and Silo are both boys. They swim together and spend most of their time with each other. All of the other penguin couples have penguin chicks and they don't. They make a nest and find a rock that looks like an egg, but nothing happens. The keeper gives them an egg, because two eggs had been laid by a female penguin. The egg hatches and the two boy penguins teach Tango to swim.

Why I recommend it: The story is true and a good way to explain why a child can have two mothers or two fathers. The boy penguins are very affectionate with each other and with Tango.
