I guess this is just not in my time, because as entertaining as it was, I still found it dated and a little on the cheesy side. I've not read many Tarzans, but I have read better (Tarzan's Quest comes to mind). Tarzan agrees to lead a party into the jungle to find a white man's son who has gone missing while looking for a lost city and the "Father of Diamonds". This one was a non-stop roller coaster ride ala Indiana Jones, with one incredible action scene after another, and the requisite damsels running into distress at every turn for Tarzan to rescue (along with every other character in the party). At least it was short - Burroughs must have known a reader can only take so much in one sitting.
