Third story in the Hawkenlye Abbey mystery series. This one was excellent! THe series features the sleuthing team of Knight Sir Josse d'Acquin and Abbess Helewise, who is the Abbess of the Hawkenlye Abbey. Story is set in February of 1192 against a backdrop of turmoil in the English crown. Sir Josse, ever the gallant knight, investigates a poisoning death at the Tonbridge tavern, only to find himself wrapped up in all sorts of court intrigue. Best book of the series so far!
