Pat Cadigan came out of the Cyberpunk movement in the 1980's. She is a consummate writer, in many respects better than William Gibson, the poster boy of the cyberpunk writers.

This is a great whodunnit, fusing Zen, high-tech, and the Beat Generation's classic mystery style, a la Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler. Never a dull moment.
