Lighthearted, gentle fictionized memoir of the 1st year as Headmaster at a primary school in North Yorkshire. Wonderful characterizations. Charming and funny with lots of laugh out loud moments. Delightful book is a joy to read and I highly recommend it, especially if you are familiar with Yorkshire and its people.

Teacher, Teacher is about Mr. Sheffield, who lands his first headmaster job. I would say this is somewhat comparable to Miss Read's stories, except the tale here takes place in the 70s. It is a delightful, comic look at the goings on in a primary school in England and also about the villages around it. A very sweet and funny book, recommended to all ages.
