In order to break a centuries-old spell that keeps him from his true love, Carrick, Prince of Faeries, must help pub-owners Aidan, Darcy and Shawn Gallagher fall in love. In Jewels of the Sun, the first step of Carrick's plan was completed when Aidan married Jude Murray. Now Carrick has turned to Shawn, a handsome daydreamer who spends his days composing music in his head while cooking for the pub. The faerie prince hopes to match Shawn with Brenna O'Toole, a fiery-haired carpenter with a longtime secret crush on Shawn. The problem is that Shawn is perfectly happy as a single man; he informs Carrick that he will have nothing to do with his plan. But, as anyone familiar with Irish lore will tell you, mere mortals don't stand a chance against the whims of the faeries.

Second in the Irish Trilogy featuring the Gallagher Siblings. This one didn't captivate me the way 'Jewels of the Sun' did, but it was a good read nonetheless. I finished it in a few hours time, so it obviously wasn't a bore! Looking forward to reading the final book in this trilogy 'Heart of the Sea' and seeing what happens with the 3rd Gallagher sibling, Darcy.

Continuing her latest trilogy, begun with Jewels of the Sun, Roberts takes readers back to the magic-tinged Irish coast and into the world of the Gallaghers of Ardmore village. This time it is the dreamy, musical Shawn Gallagher and the pragmatic, no-nonsense handywoman Brenna O'Toole who feel the fey touch of Carrick, the Prince of Faeries, and his lost love Lady Gwen; but it takes a bit of doing to make this stubborn pair realize that they are truly meant to be together.

One of my favorite Nora Roberts trilogies. I was so immersed in the story, it felt like I was there watching it all unfold..
Helpful Score: 1
I have read all of Nora Roberts Trilogies and loved them all. But this one trilogy "The Irish Trilogy" found a special place in my heart. Besides learning so much of Ireland, the characters and story lines were perfect, and then I found it had a paranormal theme to them, it was so different from what I was use to reading. It was very intriguing, since I never read those types of books. It is best to start at book 1..Then after reading this one, I had to go on to cover the others. I found it so Irish and family related, and with the paranormal added to it, it just made for a perfect read and found I could not put them down...I highly suggest this trilogy, and guarantee, you will look into the others...Have fun reading and hope you enjoy as much as I did.

I really, really liked this book. It picks up and runs from the first one and keeps the action, emotions and the legends going in a very interesting way. This is a must read!

Tears of the Moon is a refreshingly believable magical tale set in Ireland. I didn't like this particular book as well as the other two in the series, but Nora Roberts does a wonderful job every time.

I really got into these characters! I was surprised to find myself caring about them and worrying about what might happen to them. Unusual for me, at least to this degree. Very good!

Pragmatic Brenna O'Toole has been in love with Shawn Gallagher for years. But Shawn is oblivious to Brenna's feelings, spending his days composing music in his head while cooking at his family's pub.
I really liked both of these characters and was rooting for them to get together. Even though Shawn's live and let live attitude would probably drive me nuts, he seems perfect for the very serious Brenna. My rating: 4 Stars.

Second book in the Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy
A talented songwriter, Shawn Gallagher spends his days lost in reverie and wonder, oblivious to the wiles of women and the ways of the world. He claims that he's content with this life, but his music tells a different story-one of loneliness and desperate longing...
No one understand why Shawn doesn't put his musical gift to profitable use-least of all Brenna O-Toole, a fiercely independent tomboy who has been secretly in love with him for years. But it is only when Shawn gives in to the mysteries of magic that he gets the chance to fulfill his destiny as a man and a musician-as the song in his head keeps time with the beating of a woman's heart...

This is a great series. One of Robert's best.
Shawn Gallagher, the cook for the Gallagher pub, writes songs and idly lives with little thought to the future, or to his lifelong friend Brenna.
Brenna, however, has been giving thought to Shawn for a long time. In fact, she wants more then the friendship they've had all along and lets him know it, much to Shawn's shock.
Carrick, Prince of the Faeries, encourages Shawn in hopes that this romance will make it for the 2 out of 3 that he needs in order to get his own happy ending.

This is Nora Roberts's second book in her Irish trilogy series of the Gallagher siblings. And its as good as the first book. And this is coming from a person who does not read Romance books.
