I thought this was the weakest of Clancy's Ryanverse novels. The plot was formulaic and lacking the originality of his other novels. Jack Ryan Junior rides on the coattails of his father in much the same way as the author is riding on the coattails of his bestsellers. I normally am able to suspend disbelief, but something about the former President's son working undercover struck me as ridiculous.

This book was absolutely painful to read.
- Characters are insufferable and completely lacking in appeal. Jack Ryan Jr comes across as a spoiled rich kid who in reality we all want to see go down in privileged flames.
- If you want a plot as believable as this one, watch an X-Men cartoon.
- Book ends with no warning, no conclusion, no satisfaction. It. Just. Ends.

Excellent spy espionage book which will hold your attention throughout. "If you want to kick the tiger in his ass, you'd better have a plan for dealing with his teeth."
very interesting and intruiging, everything I have come to expect from Clancy.
a great read
fun spy novel
It is Tom Clancy and Jack Ryan. What else needs to be said.
a must read for any Tom Clancy fan! I did enjoy reading this book.
good story about Jack Ryan Jr.
I love the Jack Ryan Novels and this is as good of any of them in my book.
Jack Ryan, Jr., a man who has grown up around intrigue, is about to put his skills to the test. Taught the ways of the world by agents, statesmen, ananlysts, Secret Servicemen, and black-ops specialists,he crosses the radar of the "The Campus"--a secret organization set up to identify local terrorist threats and deal with them by any means necessary. A book that brings the thought: Is there possibly a real "Campus" in todays America? The time we live in gets you thinking.
I enjoyed all of this series of books.
Another Jack Ryan novel. Excellent!

This is a story of Jack Ryan Jr.'s (Ryan's son) entrance into the spy game. No matter what you think of the method, it is awesome to read the book.

Tom Clancy writes so well!! Enjoy this book!
Readers who are drawn to the character of John Clark in the other Ryan novels, particularly Without Remorse, will enjoy The Teeth of the Tiger.
Fairly lightweight for Clancy

This was my second time through and when I noticed that I had read it I did not set it aside. The time to re-read it was not wasted. I may have enjoyed this second time enen moreso. wht don't you give it a chance also? I am certain you'll enjoy it as I have.
This book is brand new. I have not read it as I received two for Christmas. This is the one I have not read.
The latest Clancy, this time with Jack Ryan Jr. as the hero. Not as good as early Clancy, but worth reading if you're into the genre.
This book has as one of the characters, John Ryan's son. He's just out of college and getting into the spy business. I enjoyed the book.
A second generation of Ryans srves his country.
I liked this book...flash to the future a bit and see Jack's son. This has a lot of potential for the Jack Ryan Tom Clancy fan

Real Tom Clancy.
A man named Mohammed sits in a cafe in Vienna, about to propose a deal to a Colombian. What if they combined his net-work of Middle East agents and sympathizers with the Colombian's drug network in America? The potential for profits would be enormous and the potential for destruction unimaginable.
A young man in suburban Maryland, who has grown up around intrigue, is about to put his skills to the test. Taught the ways of the world firsthand by agents, statesmen, analysts, Secret Servicemen, and black-ops specialists, he crosses the radar of "The Campus" - a secret organization set up to identify local terrorist threats and deal with them by any means necessary.
Incredibly addictive . . . 400-odd tightly-woven, adrenaline-fueled pages of intelligence interception, 6 a.m. fitness training, shooting, and hard men. Such fun!
