I think this story was greatly enhanced by Steven Weber's (the guy from Wings) reading of it. His voice is rich with much inflection and tone variation. I never had trouble knowing which character was speaking, and with some male narrators I have had that issue. The mystery is fast paced with several unforseen twists that kept it very interesting. Ultimately this is a love story, but not of the "romance" genre; one born of two people who are true soul mates.

Gripping and realistic in the reading - intense and well interpreted!

This audio book kept me entertained for several short road trips, but I wasted a lot of gas sitting in my driveway listening because I couldn't bring myself to turn it off. There were parts of the story that were a little drawn out, but, the story was interesting, the suspense intense. I would definitely recommend it. I can't re-list it right now because my husband wants to listen to it.

I have read several of Harlan Coben books and bought the audio versions. This is by far the best one that has nothing to do with sports. A pleasant surprise for it was filled with thrills and one enormous mystery is slowly unveiled. Get it.
This book was very good. I could not stop listening. Steven Weber is an awesome narrator.
Reads like a bad dime store novel. Great ammunition for "anyone can be a writer" argument. Couldn't even finish this.
Am listening to this now on cassette. It is an enticing, contemporary (2012 for those FUTURE, 100 year later readers) read so far that has you guessing what the REAL underlying reason is for the Doctor's wife's death, or is it disappearance, eight years earlier. Hope I'm not disappointed, like for some lame Green Energy type conspiracy.
DH and I listened to this in the car and we were both engrossed in the suspense! We liked this a lot!
