DON'T START THIS BOOK IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO
I finished this, my first Harlan Coben book, in less than 48 hours. Once I started it, that's all I wanted to do, solve the mystery. I read 10-12 books a month, mainly mysteries. Trust me when I tell you that most are drivel, a shameful waste of the trees to print them. When you stumble across a writer this talented you seek out all his other works.

What a great plot! The characters are well-developed, and the storyline moves super fast. It has more twists and turns than "the long and winding road." Very hard to put down once you start reading. This is the first book I've read by Coben, and I will definitely read more of his work. Feel free to email with any questions. ~LeAnn

Excellent book! Keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing what's going to happen next. Not one of those suspense books that makes it painfully obvious who the bad guy is from the beginning. Surprises lurk within the pages up until the very end!

This is a well done suspense thriller that will keep you on your toes to the very end.

This is the first time I have read this author. He has a wonderful way of writing. Got, bogged down as many writers seem to do in the middle, but in the end pulled off a good twist. I enjoyed the ride even though the parts that seemed inconsistant with the storyline.

This book was well written, twists and turns everywhere--with Coben, you never know where the story will end up! Couldn't put it down.

Fine suspense. Recommended. Strange things are going on!

exceptionally good! Coben is a great writer like Patterson and the story line is easy to follow, the characters are easy to know and you can usually picture them in your mind, the story flows so well that you've read the entire book before you know it!

WOW! Another winner from Harlen Coben! This book is edge-of-your-seat suspenseful. A man gets a strange email containing a link to a webcam. When he visits the webcam site, he sees a woman that he believes is his dead wife. The plot twists and turns will keep you turning the pages quickly!!!

I read a lot of mysteries/thrillers, but this one hooked me from early on. The narrative switches from first to third person, so you empathize with Beck while simultaneously worrying for him as you read what the bad guys are plotting. The bad guys in this book, one in particular, are Bad with a capital B! The plot unfolds at an even pace, and the gradual revelations will keep you guessing through the very last page. This was the first Harlan Coben book I read, and I will definitely read his others.

Other mystery/thriller writers should only HOPE to be half as good as this guy! He is the BEST.....in my humble opinion.... & I have read ALL his books so I guess that says a lot ......and it doesn't hurt that he lives not too far from my area!!! Kudos to Coben !!! 5+++ stars !

This is my first book by Coben, and I almost hate to pick up another one because it can't be anything but a let down. He can't possibly write anything this good twice. The person who said that you should have a large block of free time was 100% right. I was sucked in early and put everything I could aside until I was done. One thing I particularly enjoyed about this book was the variety of characters. They didn't all come from the same white bread world and some of the hero's allies were not people one would expect.
If you've never read Harlan Coben, you're in for a real treat!!! Awesome writer, very fast paced, twists and turns and always leaves you stunned. One of my favorite authors and this is one of his best books.
Lots of suspense, a real page turner!
I had a hard time putting it down. Keeps you guessing until the end.
It's another page-turner from the master of suspense and surprise...Harlan Coben. In this one, David Beck loses the love of his life after only a few short years of marriage. His wife, Elizabeth, is beaten to death, branded and left by a serial killer at the side of the road. Beck is also beaten brutally with a bat and left to die.
The book starts 8 years later. And, suddenly, he begins to receive cryptic messages. Messages that only his Elizabeth could know about. But, since her own father identified her body at the morgue 8 years ago, could she possibly be alive?
An excellent read. One word of caution, don't start it unless you have alot of free time on your hands. You won't want to put it down.

A real page turner. I like it that it took me awhile to figure out "who done it"
everyone should read this book, Harlan Coben has out did his self with this one. I could not put it down. Felt i was in the story. Anyone who enjoys to read will enjoy this book. love how he kept the intrest of the reader through out the whole book .
I loved this book! I've read Harlan Coben before and I really enjoy his work, but this story drew me in from the beginning and didn't let go! Plenty of twists and turns and it wraps up well at the end. Highly recommend!
Great action book. I read it in two days, it was hard to put down.
Fast and fun suspense thriller that reminded me a lot of Dean Koontz' Velocity. There are some quirky characters that add a lot of flavor (a drug dealer who's a good father figure, an assassin who tries to avoid killing people the same way twice, and an outspoken lesbian model all provide supporting roles). Plot is pretty over the top, and the book probably has 1 twist too many, but serves its purpose as a good beach read.

Fantastic! Wow! My first Coben book and won't be the last! Harlan Coben is a master at suspense. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
David Beck's wife, Elizabeth, was murdered by a serial killer. Eight years later, he's sitting alone in his office one night when an anonymous e-mail pops up with a strange subject that has familiar meaning. He opens it, and that sets off a dangerous string of events that will keep you glued to the pages until it's all over! Plot twists galore, so much detail that it's like watching a movie and a suprise ending that you won't be able to predict if you try! If you are looking for a superfast, satisfying read-this is the book for you!

I couldn't put this one down. Plots twists and turns keep me up until the wee hours. Incredible story!!!
I have read all but a few of Coben's books and "Tell No One" is one of his best! Despite the fact that most of Coben's works follow a similar storytelling pattern, I didn't find this one to be too predictable and it kept me guessing. There were parts of the story that were a little unrealistic, but that didn't bother me too much - this is a work of fiction afterall, isn't it? Overall, I thoguht this was a great story, as evidenced by the fact it only took me two days to read it. If you like suspenseful and thrilling tales, this one is for you!
This is my first Harlan Coben book and I was hooked from the first page. It's a heart-stopping, page-turner from start to finish. I literally finished this book in a few hours....could not put it down. It's one of those books that grabs you and keeps you enthralled, at times you think you can't read another chapter, afraid of what's going to happen next and at the same time you keep turning the pages because you have to see what happens next! One of the best books I've read in a long time, and that's saying a lot. I highly recommend it....you won't be disappointed.
This is my favorite book right now! The twist at the end was amazing and I never saw it coming. Great book!
Coben is one of the best mystery/thriller writters. Very good read.
It was basically a good book, but I didn't care for the ending.
This is the first book of Coben's I read, and I was hooked. It's an easy read with lots of suspense, and a great ending.
An exciting book with alot of twists, as is Coben's style. Some humor amidst the harsh mystery, as well. A very good, fast-paced read.
Excellent plot! Wonderfully written book with an unexpected finish.
Harlan Coben knows how to write an excellent thriller. This was the first book I read of his and I have since read them all. I recommend them all. This is still my favorite Coben book.
awesome thriller
While the writing style, head-hopping, editing, character introduction, and formatting was horrendous, I greatly enjoy the storyline. I will not be reading anything else by this author as I didn't like the writing itself, but I stuck it out solely for the story.
Granted, I was able to figure it out about 75% in, the author did throw a lightly (when I say lightly I mean LIGHTLY) foreshadowed twist in at the end. I'd recommend this book to people who care more about the story than the writing, formatting, etc. It was a great story.

Just when you think you have things figured out, WRONG!!!! What a bunch of twists.
Awesome thriller. Unexpected twists and turns. Could not put it down.
Loved it.
Not one of his better books-but still good.
Good story for the most part, As it progresses you find out more details, still keeps your attention.
Very fast read!!
This book had me hooked from the first page. It was fasted paced, action packed and I could not wait to see what happend next. Half-way through I figured out who the bad guy was but the writing was so good, I kept reading. Harlan Coben has become one of my favorite authors.
I have read most of Coben over the years, but this is the best, although all his thrillers are just that, thrilling and shocking.
A very good mystery/thriller with lots of twists and turns and a few surprises. The writing is very good with lots of very likable characters and some humor along the way. This would make a great movie. This is my first Harlan Coben and I will certainly read more of his works.
Loved this book. Coben never fails on suspense.
Loved this book...it was really a page turner, hard to put down!
Really good. Up to the usual Coben.
Complex story lines! Loved it!
What a page-turner! Harlan Coben is the master of the murder-suspense genre. This is one of his best mysteries. I didn't know until the last page who the actual murderer was.
Excellent book! Got my attention from the very beginning and didn't let go until the last page.
One of my favorite Harlan Coben books!
Twists and turns from the opening to the end. Suspenseful and exciting. I couldn't put it down!!
Read quickly. The story kept moving. I thought the end had quite a twist.
Harlan Coben's ability to create characters that draw you in makes reading this book a wonderful experience.
I really enjoyed this book. It was easy to read and moved along at a good pace. Would recommend it.
I am so happy to hear that this is being made into an American movie! The foreign film did so well. I hope it sticks to the book - would make for a great thriller! Love all things Coben. Great read. I've re-read this one several times.
Exciting through and through.
Thoroughly enjoyed. Hard to put down. Will be looking for more Coben books in the future.
This is my first Coben read and I intend to read more. He knows how to spin a good mystery while adding pieces and bites from a couple different angles to keep the reader on his/her toes. Watch for the tiny twist at the end of the book. It caught me off guard.
This is one of Harlan Coben's best novels.
A suspenseful ride that kept me hooked to my Nook for two days straight. A great break from my normal reads, I was swept into this story from page one and 200 pages later was still absolutely engulfed in the story.
A mystery that unfolds 8 years after the death of Dr. David Beck's wife. The truths unravel piece by piece to expose what really happened that evening by the lake. I have to be honest I thought had a hunch and was putting it all together when the whole flipped upside down on me. Coben had me thinking I was sure of the ending and then he quickly changed everything and put it on the one person who I felt was beyond innocent.
A book picked out for book club - now I will be definitely picking up some more reads by this author. I would pass this book along to all of my friends, male and female, who love to read the who dun its and try to figure out how all the pieces fit together.

I really liked this book, it is a fast read. The characters are very well written and the plot is great!
Best book ever written.
This was the first Harlan Coben book I read, several years ago, and I have read all of his books since. This book was suspenseful and every time I had to put it down, I couldn't wait to read more! His subsequent books I find a little generic with many recurring themes, but they are easy, funny reads (especially the Myron Bolitar series), so I keep reading!
Great book. A lot of action and tension. A little far fetched, but still a good read.
my favorite book ever!
the characters are amazing.
You wont want to put it down.
Because of this book. Harlan Coben has
become one of my favorite authors.
I continue to read more of his novels everyday.

This is really a mind twisting thriller! You don't really know who did what until the last several pages of the book. Well written by Coben and he does a very good job with this book.
Excellent book, couldn't put it down. All of Coben's books are great. Love this author!
I really like the author, he tells good stories that seem like they could be real.
Full of suspense - very well written! Loved it!
This was a pretty fun, but sort of cheesy, mystery novel. It did have a very fast pace and would certainly make for an exciting movie, maybe not silver screen... still, it made for an entertaining evening and I would read another book by this author, though I may not rush out to go get one... it was too surprisingly sappy... It was fun, though.
There have been books that I've read twice or three times over and have always enjoyed them as much if not more than the first time around. That is not the case with my second reading of this book. I am not sure if I confused this book with an actual Coben great, and maybe that is why I gave it a full 5 stars when I originally posted the book on Goodreads, but I am going to need to take away a few stars. The author goes through great pains to over explain details that are just not necessary to the plot. He also piles on lame metaphors on top of lame metaphors. The clichés (a word even the protagonist uses at least a half dozen times) and stereotypes were just too over the top. And did the protagonist actually say, "...but my eyes got snagged on a picture of, well, me...Amazing how sinister I looked in the darkened photo, like a Mideast terrorist." He did! Every gimmick used in any substandard movie thriller is used here (like the dark sunglasses wearing thug). In fact, it seems that that's what the author was going for - movie script. With the right director and producer, this could translate into a decent movie, it just makes for a disappointing read.
This was an excellent book by Coben with great plot twists and a plausible outcome.
Excellent!! Another superb suspense/mystery by Coben!
Enjoyed this book right from the start. Can't wait to read other books by this author.
This book was very suspenseful. You don't know whether to believe him about seeing his wife, or not. Truly wonderful. I recommend it!
Slow start but half way through I couldn't put it down.
Harlan Coben really grabs your attention in this book. He really is a master. I could not put it down.
Very engaging story, hard to put down! This was my 2nd Harlan Coben book and I plan to read others.
For eight tormented years, Dr. David Beck has relived the horror of the night he lost his wife. He can still see it clearly -- the gleaming lake, the pale moonlight -- and he can still hear his wife's piercing screams. But all that changes when a message appears on his computer, a phrase only he and his wife would know. The message comes with a warning. The price for his compliance is high. Now Beck must decide who to trust and who to fear-as he heads into the heart of darkness, seeking the truth about that one fateful night.

Not a big fan of this genre but enjoyed this one. This book does have some creases on the spine but is overall in good condition. Intriguing tale involving the disappearance of a young wife and a husband's inability to admit that she's really gone. A real pageturner.
Great read filled with non-stop action. Fast paced, lots of interesting plot twists.

A fast paced story beginning with the abduction and murder of Dr. David Beck's wife while they are on an anniversary vacation. The clock then moves forward to eight years later and suddenly Dr. Beck is receiving emails that can only lead him to believe that his wife is still alive. A thrilling and very well written story.

Well written and fast-paced. I read it in a day!
Everytime I read a Coben I think it is my favorite. How does he do that?
Wonderful! Couldn't put it down.
I always enjoy Harlan Coben's books. He writes a great thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat, without all the gore and violence in so many books. Tell No One is no different, once again, I never saw the ending coming!
Suspense thriller, great story. For David Beck the loss was shattering. For eight years he has relived the night his wife was taken. Now a message appears on his computer with a phrase only his dead wife knew. Plot twists abound in this book.
Coben is a number 1 author. He holds your interest with the story line--not sex and violence. His books are hard to put down. His wife dissappears screaming from the lake.8 years later, is she back?
Eight years ago, David and Elizabeth Beck traveled to their old stomping grounds to celebrate an anniversary. But things go terribly wrong when David is attacked and Elizabeth is abducted, her body found days later in a ditch. Trying to put the past behind him, David is shocked when he receives an anonymous email with a message that only he and his wife would understand. Is she somehow alive? Is someone playing a trick on him? David starts taking a look at the events of eight years ago and sees things may not be what they seemed.
This is a fast paced suspense thriller that I could not put down. Who has to eat or sleep when you have a book that hooks you from the first page? There were so many twists and turns in the story, I never knew what would happen next. And I certainly didn't expect the twist at the end of the story. I highly recommend this book. My rating: 5 Stars.

Was okay, not one of my favorites.
Every writer likes to stretch his legs, and here Coben, author of seven acclaimed Myron Bolitar mysteries (Darkest Fear, etc.), stretches his. He doesn't quite kick his reputation aside in the process. This thriller, Coben's first non-Bolitar novel, is a breezy enough read, but it's not up to snuff. It's got a nifty setup, though. David Beck and Elizabeth Parker, just-married childhood sweethearts, are vacationing at the Beck family retreat when Beck is knocked unconscious and Elizabeth is kidnapped. Cut to eight years later: Beck is a young physician working with ghetto kids in Manhattan, and Elizabeth, we learn, is dead, victim of a serial killer known as KillRoy. Or is she? For immediately after two bodies eight years old are uncovered on the Beck land, Beck receives a series of e-mails apparently from Elizabeth. His frantic search to find out if she lives dovetails with the equally frenzied efforts of cops to pin Elizabeth's murder on Beck, as well as the antic moves of a mysterious billionaire an old friend of the Beck family and his two hired thugs to frame Beck for that murder. Beck finds himself a man on the run from the cops his only ally a black drug dealer whose child he's treating for hemophilia caught in an overcomplicated tangle of lies and vengeance. Coben knows how to move pages, and he generates considerable suspense, but there's little new here. The narrative style is cloned from James Patterson, alternating first-person with third. The villains, particularly the billionaire and a Chinese martial artist, are as old as mid-Elmore Leonard or even Chandler. The black drug dealer isn't a character, he's a plot device, and the climax packs the emotional wallop of a strong episode of The Rockford Files.

David Beck has rebuilt his life since his wife's murder eight years ago, finishing medical school and establishing himself as a pediatrician, but he's never forgotten the woman he fell in love with in second grade. And when a mysterious e-mail arrives on the anniversary of their first kiss, with a message and an image that leads him to wonder whether Elizabeth might still be alive, Beck will stop at nothing to find the truth that's eluded him for so many years. A powerful billionaire is equally determined to make sure his role in her disappearance never comes to light, even if it means destroying an innocent man.
Everyone tells him it's time to move on, to forget the past once and for all. But for David Beck, there can be no closure. No one tells a good mystery like Harlan Coben! It wasn't one of my favorites of his, but still a quick and great read.

nonstop action with lots of plot twists.
In David Beck, Harlan Coben, the author of the popular series starring sports agent Myron Bolitar (Darkest Fear et al.) has created a protagonist who shares many of Bolitar's best qualities--he's a decent, generous, gentle guy whose loyalty to those he loves is unquestionable. So when he discovers that people he was close to may be responsible not only for Elizabeth's murder but also the "accidental" death of his father, Beck's sense of betrayal is as understandable to the reader as his uncharacteristically violent reaction. Coben is a skillful storyteller with a gift for creating likable characters caught up in circumstances that illuminate their complex emotional lives and deep humanity. This should be the thriller that breaks this talented writer out of the mystery genre and earns him the recognition he deserves. --Jane Adams --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

A real page turner. Lots of twists and turns.
really suspenseful and well written.
One of my new favorite authors. His books are awesome.
Good suspense. Is the wife dead, as reported, or alive? Where has she been for eight years? If dead, who killed her? Who is innocent? Who is guilty? Plenty of twists here.
Anyone who's loves the works of Harlan Coblen will tell you they are all really pretty GREAT 'reads'!
From back of book: For Dr. David Beck, the loss was shattering. And every day for the past eight years, he has relived the horror of what happened. The gleaming lake. The pale moonlight. The piercing screams. The night his wife was taken. The last night he saw her alive...Everyone tells him it's time to move on, to forget the past once and for all. But for David Beck, there can be no closure. A message has appeared on his computer, a phrase only he and his dead wife know. Suddenly, Beck is taunted with the impossible-that somewhere, somehow, his wife was alive...and he's been warned to tell no one....

Harlan Coben departs from his series with an exciting and original thriller, Tell No One. Years after the abduction and murder of his wife a man receives a mysterious email suggesting that she is still alive. As he follows this trail it becomes evident that he is being set up as the perpetrator of crimes actually committed by his elusive correspondent. A page-turner with plenty of plot twists.

great ... a real page turner
Really interesting story.
Contains a number of recurring characters from his other recent books. I would have enjoyed this one more had it been the first one I read, mainly because I knew the fate of one of the secondary characters. The main characters were great, and the twist at the end was awesome!
Anything by Harlan Coben is a surefire hit!
Can't go wrong with Harlan.
