Sofie Ryan's books are so much fun! The heroine, Sarah, is the owner of the store âSecond Chanceâ that sells recycled, repurposed goods of all kinds. She has a delightful crew of workers, friends of her Grandmother. We haven't seen Grandmother yet, she is on a year-long honeymoon. She will probably be introduced in the next book. There is a rescue cat, Elvis, which has the ability to sense if a person is lying. He's quite the cat! In the first book, her employees help solve a murder mystery. They decide to open their own detective agency called âCharlotte's Angels.â This book starts with one of the Angels, Rose, getting cold cocked as she sees someone dragging a male's body inside the house. The body isn't found, so they wonder if he is trying to disappear or is he really dead? The clues start adding up and the Angels and Sarah confront the killer. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and highly recommend it.
