I think the messages in the book are good, but I don't really like her style of writing. It's mostly stream of thought without a lot of organization. Also, if you've listened to her show you've heard most of it, in fact almost all of the book is her quoting callers from her show. I think it would be a good book for a young women finding herself in bad relationships, but if you are basically balanced you don't get much out of it.

Dr. Laurie covers those ugly little subjects that tell why we are so down on oursleves, and she explains how to recover from low self-esteem. I likew the book.

This book has excellent common sense advice. The advice can be applied to most anything in life not just about men. I got this for my 27 yr old daughter, but I wanted to read it before sending it on. I had never read one of Dr. Laura'a books before. I highly recommend it. What she has to say is so true. We women know what she says is true. But, most women in a particular situation don't want to accept the same advice they would give their best friend. Bottom line what is best for your life. You can only change yourself no one else. Get your own life together and find fulfillment.

All my friends have read this book and it does make you stop and look at yourself and your life and where you are. Makes you evaluate your life and helps inspire you to move ahead or accept you place. Either you will love it or throw it down after the first 10 pages

I believe Dr. Laura has the best advice around. One thing about her, she calls it like it is, which is what people need to hear when they're doing something stupid (been there done that)... kind of like Dr. Phil. Great book.

The Number One stupid thing that women can do to mess up their lives is pay attention to dingbats such as Laura Schlessinger.
