I did a longer review of this book for the PBS blog on Jan 21 2022. It's a hefty book, and meanders around quite a bit, but the characters and settings are all interesting. I have no problem at all believing in the climate forecast or the technology. Get through the slower middle with all its political maneuvering and minor disasters, and be ready for a nail-biting finish.
