Check your bs meter at the door...this book is pretty weird but not so far out there that you get lost in the plot. Very interesting, makes you wonder what the author was thinking when he wrote this!

A very popular and very original and very witty laugh-aloud story about a group of unique aging hippies who are lovers of nature and end up in the afterlife, fighting to save the forests of earth. Pagan, tree-hugging and afterlife themes and a bit of wisdom. A great read!

I read this book a number of years ago, but enjoyed the experience. Tex and Molly are aging hippies living and dying in Maine. They really don't realize they have died and stick around their house boat. There is a mix of old religion and ancient land spirits and the conflict of modern tree farming and rabit survivalists. There is comedy, tragedy, witches, wolves and fast moving action surprising and in the end pleasing if you like the modern day meeting the paranormal.
