I really enjoyed reading this book and the rest in the series. If you like to read 1800's historical romance then you would enjoy reading Cassie Edwards and Karen Kay books

I love Jodi's books. I expected a bit more from this one though. Still I will read the whole series as they come out. An OK read in my opinion.

This was such a great book. The story pulled me in from the first page and I stayed up most of the night to finish it!!! Can't wait to read the others in this series!!

Jodi Thomas' stories never fail to delight. Great Read about Austin, Texas before the Civil War.

Great start to a great trilogy. I love the characters in this story. Of course, I love all of Ms. Thomas' characters.
I have mixed feelings after reading this book. I didn't really care for the story; I found it frustrating that the h/h took so long to hook up, how they would meet briefly then separate not just once, but twice! I really couldn't connect with the heroine but rather I was more intrigued with the hero's life and his family. I've read some of JT's other work and wasn't too impressed, I was hoping this one would be different. However, I will cautiously proceed with the sequel because mostly I just want to find out about the hero's brothers.

This is the first in what promises to be a great new series by Ms. Thomas. Whispering Mountain is a place that many would fall in love with and never want to leave.
Jodi Thomas is a new author to me, but I will be reading more of her works. This was spellbinding story. All the elements of a good Western, pretty heroine fleeing her past and a handsome half-breed Texas Ranger torn between love and duty. However,it was the other rich characters and the many twists and turns to reach the conclusion of the story that most held my interest.
This was a good book to read on a rainy day. A wonderful story that keeps you hooked.

Another great read by Jodi Thomas. This is a story about a young girl running from her past and into the path of a Texas Ranger that can't stop thinking about her after their first meeting.

This was a very good romance mystery.
Rainey Adams has fled an arranged marriage and wants the chance to stand on her on two feet. Texas Ranger Travis McMurray only knows her as a horse thief and as the woman he wants.
This was just the sweetest thing ever. The way it was written felt like I was reading a full-blown novel. It was well written with a great story. I adored the characters and loved reading them fumble their way through falling for each other and then actually doing something about it.
This was just great. I wish there was more, but at the same time it was the perfect length.
