This story was just an average adventure with unlikely main characters. Gabrielle Price was over-the-top with independence. She also initiated most of the heat generated between herself and Ranger Hudson Stone. As a character, she just didnt speak to me.
There seemed to be a great deal of lust between the characters but I couldnt believe they were destined to forever. The couple knew precious little about each other: Gabrielle knew that Hudson had recently lost his long-time partner through a senseless murder and Hudson knew she was trying to rid herself of an unwanted fiancée.
Fortunately, there was lots of action so the dearth of real communication between the couple wasnt blatant. It was OK 3 stars.
