the author is able to explain how she understands concepts and other things. she thinks in pictures. it is with this type of thinking she has become the worlds leading stockyard architect.
she allow you into her personal life in this book, which is much different than others.

Excellent book! I learned more about Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders reading this than I did in all of school. Engaging, insightful, and includes information on ways to help individuals with Autism succeed. The best part is, it reads more like a conversation with a friend and doesn't come across as teaching the reader something.

This book was absolutely fascinating. I highly recommend it for any parent of a child with autism. There were so many things about my daughter that I saw in her descriptions about how autism affects individuals. More than that, I was inspired by how positive her outlook is on life and her attitude about autism in general. From my biology standpoint, also, I enjoyed reading about the work she has done in reconfiguring so much of our country's livestock handling equipment. Wonderful read!

An interesting glimpse into what life with autism is like for a highly-functioning autistic. The author has accomplished quite a lot in her field and has used her logic and curiosity about autism and its related disorders to present an interesting and understandable account. Although I do not have ties to anyone with autism, I found this fascinating.
