Good read. I liked the characters, and the storyline was good too. Author didn't delve too far into the torment of the hero, which I thought would have made the story even better.
Second in a series which I've truly enjoyed. They are keepers for me, but I had two of this title. Paranormal romance involving vampires who walk in the sunlight. (and who are, of course, yummy)

Exciting vampire romance. Steamy too but not too much. Good plot and I really liked the characters, especially Marcus Cage who has escaped an experimental lab and abducts Josephine to use her car. He also needs her help but never explains to her clearly what he was running from. This leads to misunderstanding whereby Jo unwittingly gets Marcus recaptured. I found myself getting angry at this womens' naivete, that she just believes the story of Marcus' breakdown from a man who tells her he works for the government. Overall though, I found this book, "sexy, exciting, and just plain thrilling....An utterly engaging new world" as written on the back cover.

The start of her vampire series. Josephine is just enjoying a little quiet time camping in the desert. Marcus, wounded and desperate to evade the enemies who want to destroy him and his kind is willing to use anyone to escape and warn his clan. Its just a little snack he needs from Josephine's neck, and her car, and her cooperation. But can he earn her trust in time?
Can stand alone or be read with the others in the series.

Another totally awesome Sizemore vampire story
The hero Marcus is a vampire, captured and tortured. He escapes and finds Josephine. Because he's been tortured, he spends the first three quarters of the book in a constant state of blood hunger/thirst, not to mention lust, because Josephine's his mate.
Aside from the blood hunger and lust for his mate, and Josephine's empathy, the entire story was remarkedly like any para-military/action romance. There was very little interaction with other people, or exploration of vampiric culture. In the prequel, I Burn For You, there is an excursion into vampire society, and getting to know other vampires and the culture.
In this book, they run and hide, hardly speaking to anyone else, meet one other vampire at the end, and that's it. In the epilogue, it's mentioned that the heroine was brought home to meet the rest of the vampire family, but apparently that wasn't interesting to actually let the reader read what happened. It wasn't until hundreds of pages in that the reader learns anything about the complex vampire culture, so the first few hundreds of pages is just like an action romance.

Loved the 2nd story of trilogy. SS just gets better each book.
This book was ok. It is not my favorite of series so far. But I read Primal Heat first, then I Burn For You, now this one. I love the series. This book is not bad, its just not anything to rave about either. BUT I am glad I read it because it further familiarizes you with the nature and family dynamic of the vampires.
good vampire romance

Not as good as the others in this series. The relationship development was really good but not a lot actually happens in the story.
another story set in the vampire world started in I Burn for You. Vampire Marcus is on the run and captures Josephine, an empath. exciting, sexy, but for me, not thoroughly engaging.
Strong characters, believable dialogue, and sizzling chemistry between hero and heroine.
As with the 'I Hunger For You' this is a spin off of some of the characters from that book and it is just as well written. One of the better books I have read in awhile.

I've read a couple of Susan Sizemore's Vampire novels and they seem to have the same premise. I wish the novel's varied a little bit more, but I still enjoy reading her books. I love reading books about men on the brink of being lost who inevitably come back because of the love of a good woman.
